I am an effective communicator and a critical thinker, two strengths that are essential to a collective decision-making process. As a former counselor, I understand the value of listening and making sure every voice is welcomed and fairly considered. I will reflect on the facts and viewpoints presented and share my objective analysis of the matter at hand; proactively and respectfully working with fellow Board members to formulate a decision that accurately reflects our shared goals and vision for the District. At the same time, I understand that there will be times in which decisions are made by the majority that I disagree with. When that happens, I will respect the process and remember the adage that good and honest people can and will disagree. Barring any family or personal emergency, I will never walk away from the BOE and, by extension, our schools, and community when decisions are made that I do not agree with. The commitment I make when I am sworn in and maintaining the stability of the BOE are simply too important to me.
